Our store is open seven days a week for your convenience, and we stock a wonderful selection of both "standard" and exotic flowers. Delivery is available throughout downtown and NW Washington for a modest charge, and can also be arranged for the Maryland and Virginia suburbs. We can place flowers-by-wire orders for delivery almost anyplace in the country, and we service commercial accounts such as restaurants and hotels in NW DC.

We specialize in novel and creative arrangements, and are pleased to accomodate orders for special events such as weddings and receptions. We will work with you to design just the right look for your event -- traditional or modern, elegantly structured or natural. We have one of DC's largest selections of quality flowers, and our arrangements don't use inexpensive flowers like carnations, mums, gladiolus, or baby's breath.
A Little Shop of Flowers has been praised in the local press, including a Washington Post "Readers' Choice" as "Best Florist" and WashingtonPost.com's "Best Bets". In Washington Consumer Checkbook's survey of florists, we were the only florist in DC to receive checkmarks for both quality and value. Our store is also dog-friendly, for friendly dogs!

make it easier to describe what look you want, we have organized samples of our work in three categories:

In each category, several styles are presented. The
distinctions are not exact, but it is often useful in talking with your florist to describe
arrangements as "traditional" or "formal," "garden style,"
"romantic," "contemporary," or "high style."
In addition to cut flowers and gift planters, we can provide you with houseplants and potted trees such as orchids (we have one of DC's best selections), ficus, cactus, bird of paradise, and bamboo -- call us with your requirements.
